Thomas Andrewartha was born in Goldsithney, Cornwall, England on 25 Apr 1862. He was the son of William Andrewartha and Ann Eva.[1] At the time of the 1881 census he lived in Perranuthnoe, Cornwall, England with his parents and six siblings. He worked as an agricultural laborer.[2]
Sometime after the 1881 census, Thomas emigrated to the United States and settled in Butte, Silver Bow County, Montana. While living in Butte, he worked as a miner. In 1892 he married Christina Schneider at Butte, but they divorced before the 1900 census.[3] He returned to Cornwall and lived there at the time of the 1911 census.[4] He moved to the Transvaal Province, South Africa and briefly lived with his younger brother, John before returning to Cornwall.[5]
Thomas died on 10 Jan 1915 in Goldsithney.[5] He was buried on 12 Jan 1915 with his parents in in St. Hilary Churchyard Cemetery, Marazion, Cornwall.[6][7]
