William Andrewartha was born in Rosudgeon, Cornwall on 20 Dec 1835.[1][2] He is the son of Josiah Andrewartha and Christian Andrewartha, and was baptized on 19 Feb 1837 at St. Hilary in Cornwall, England. On 6 Feb 1858, he married Anna Maria Eva, [1][3][4] and the couple had nine children:
William worked as a tin and copper miner. He died on 21 Sep 1909 at Park House, Goldsithney, Cornwall, England. He was buried on 24 Sep 1909 in St. Hilary Parish Churchyard, St. Hilary, Cornwall, England.[5]
