Biography
Walter Charles Harcourt Anderson was born on 5 May 1895, the son of Alice Anderson and James Anderson .[1] [2]
During World War One he was an Anzac, attached to the 2nd Australian Field Artillery Battery.[3] His service number was 4378.[3]
He married May Tomkins in 1920 in Annandale, New South Wales.[4] Their children were:[5] [6]
At the time of his death, Walter lived at 168 Shaftesbury Road, Eastwood, New South Wales.[5] He had been living there since at least 1946, when he was recorded a mechanic resident at that address on the Australian electoral roll.[7]
He died on 16 May 1964 in Balmain, New South Wales.[2] [5]
