Biography

Walter Charles Harcourt Anderson was born on 5 May 1895, the son of Alice Anderson and James Anderson.^[1][2]

During World War One he was an Anzac, attached to the 2nd Australian Field Artillery Battery.^[3] His service number was 4378.^[3]

He married May Tomkins in 1920 in Annandale, New South Wales.^[4] Their children were:^[5][6]

• Wallace Anderson
• Joan Anderson
• Enid Anderson

At the time of his death, Walter lived at 168 Shaftesbury Road, Eastwood, New South Wales.^[5] He had been living there since at least 1946, when he was recorded a mechanic resident at that address on the Australian electoral roll.^[7]

He died on 16 May 1964 in Balmain, New South Wales.^[2][5]
