Anders is not our "blood/dna" surname. Anders is the surname given to my grandfather after he graduated High School and was enlisting in the Air Force. Anders comes from the man my great grandmother married, for two years and then divorced, in 1927 to 1929, when my grandfather was 6. My g-grandmother submitted a revised birth cert and wrote "step" next to "father" on the revised birth cert in 1940.
Through dna tests, I have located unknown family members on my father's paternal side, and I have narrowed the results of my research down to a man with the surname "Martin" who most likely went to school with my g-grandmother in Logansport, Indiana. This man's pictures were compared to my late father and grandfather's pictures and he is the spitting image of them both.
