Biography

Suzanne Allain was born about 1830.

Suzanne married Magloire Girouard, son of Anselme Girouard, on 8 Nov 1858 in Bouctouche.^[1] Witnesses were Aimé Allain and Madeleine Girouard.

Suzanne died on 27 Dec 1859 and was buried two days later in Bouctouche.^[2] Her age noted in the burial record was 29 years and 11 months, the wife of Magloire Girouard.

Research Notes

I couldn't find any baptism records for a Suzanne Allain born about 1830 in the Acadia Families database (at genealogiequebec.com). Maybe the witness at her marriage ceremony, Aimé Allain, could be a brother? Aimé could be either Aimé Allain, son of Simon and husband of Marguerite Gauvin, or Aimé Allain, son of Amable, who died in Bouctouche in 1863. I suspect that Suzanne may be the daughter of Simon Allain and Scholastique Girouard, since Simon seems to have no surviving marriage record and seems to have some children with missing baptism records, but more evidence is needed.
