Lewis Grandison Alexander was a poet, actor, playwright, and costume designer associated with the Harlem Renaissance period in New York. His poetry was published in magazines and journals along with other major Harlem Renaissance writers. [1]
Lewis was born in 1898. He was the son of Lewis Alexander and Cornelia Gant.
He passed away in 1945. Lewis is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Washington, D.C. [2]
