Joseph ALCHIN, son of John ALCHIN and Martha JOHNSON, was born in 1859 in Gunning (R.D.), Colony of New South Wales ^[1], died on 30 June 1906 in Sydney Hospital, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia ^[2] at age 47, and was buried on 6 July 1906 in Dalton Cemetery, Dalton, New South Wales, Australia. ^[3]

Joseph married Mary Agnes Ellen JOHNSON in 1888 in Junee (R.D.), Colony of New South Wales. ^[4]

   The funeral of the late Mr. Joseph Alchin took place yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. T. F. Rudd officiated at the graveside.
   The deceased, who had been in bad health for a number of years, died in the Sydney Hospital. He was well known in this district, where he had a large number of relatives.
