African-American film and television actress, director, writer, and artist, with a career spanning more than 50 years. Notable for being the only African-American to appear in a speaking role on Leave It to Beaver, and was also one of the first African-American actors to appear on the soap opera Days of Our Lives.
She was an actress with the stage name of Kim Hamilton.
Kim was born as Dorothy Mae Aiken in Los Angeles, California, USA on 12 Sep 1932 and her parents were Leulia "Lulu" (Williams) and Willam Aiken. [1]
Kim married firstly on 16 Jan 1951 in Los Angeles, California, USA to Robert Henry Hamilton. [2]
She married secondly Werner Klemperer, in 1997, after having dated for more than twenty years.
She passed away in Los Angeles on 16 Sep 2013. [3] [4]
