Birth

Betsey Dagget Adams was born at Wilton, Maine, on 1 Mar 1830, the daughter of Jeptha and Hannah Adams.^[1]

Marriages

1. Betsey Dagget Adams married Henry Timberlake, as his second wife. No record of the marriage has been found, but the birth date of Betsey D. Timberlake on her gravestone, 1 Mar 1830,^[2] exactly matches the birth date of Betsey Dagget Adams.^[1] Their first known child, Maria, was five at the time of the 1860 Census.^[3]
2. After the death of Henry Timberlake in 1873, Betsey (Adams) Timberlake married Ewing Robinson. No record of the marriage has been found, but in the 1880 Census, the household at Livermore, Maine, of Ewing Robinson, 71, included Betsey B. Robinson, 50, his wife; Mary Timberlake, 19, his stepdaughter; Elmer E. Timberlake, 8, his stepson; and Hannah Adams, 84, recorded as a boarder but possibly Betsey's mother.^[4]

Timberlake and his family at Turner, Maine, with her birth date shown as March 1830.^[5] A gravestone at the True Cemetery in Livermore, Maine, says that Betsey D., the wife of Henry Timberlake, was born on 1 Mar 1830 and died on 23 Apr 1905.^[2]
