Biography

Sir Ferdinand Richard (Richard to friends & family) Edward Dalberg-Acton was born 24 Jul 1801 in Napoli, Campania, Italia, and 7th British Baronet; named in honour of the King of Naples. His father, 6th Baronet, had been a Prime Minister of Naples, force to flee in 1806 to Napoli where Richard was born. Living a short life he died 31 Jan 1837 in Paris, Île-de-France, France. In 1811 he succeeded to the baronetcy when his father died. His mother was the eldest daughter of his father General Joseph Edward Acton's brother.
