Nathaniel was born in 1769. He was the son of Joshua Abbott and Elizabeth Chandler. He passed away in 1848.
In his will written 5 February 1844 (proved 4 February 1849), Nathaniel Abbot bequeaths to beloved wife Betsey the use of and improvements on all the real and personal estate during her natural life. He gives a bequest of five dollars to each of his children: Fanny Low, John D. Abbott, Mary West, and Emeline Estabrook. After their mother's decease, the children will divide the estate in equal portions. Joseph Low of Concord was named sole executor. In a codicil also written in February 1844, he allows for his daughter Emeline Estabrook to reside in the family home as long as she is unmarried.[1]
