"A great number of members donated money toward the completion of the church as it stands today. A memorial fund helped to purchase the bronze bell, and the family of William Beardsley provided the unique stained glass window that remains today." www.aweddinginthecountry.com

It is kind of ambiguous which William Beardsley the window is dedicated to. The family of William Henry Beardsley VI provided the window, and William was the 6th in a line of Williams. The immigrant William was his 6th great grandfather. Maybe the intent was to honor all of them?

Personally, I believe it was either dedicated to the William VI whose family provided the window, or possibly more likely his father {William VI was still living when it was dedicated which might support the theory it was dedicated to William V}.

Regardless, it is a beautiful piece of art and I do not think it is improper to associate it with any of the William Beardsleys in the lineage.
