F-4C Phantom II and F-4D Phantom II are so similar that this photo is being used for both. If you look closely right below the front seat pilot, you will see that this airplane was flown by 2 Vietnam Air Force flying Aces, Capt. Richard Steve Ritchie and Capt. Charles B. DeBellevue. Steve Ritchie and Randy Cunningham were the only American pilot aces in that war. Capt. Chuck DeBellevue was one of 3 Weapon Systems Officers (WSOs in the U.S. Air Force) and Radar Intercept Officers (RIOs in the U.S. Navy).
