The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing a check-in with project members. Please review the following and respond to let us know that you are content with your current team or if you would like to be more involved.

The Project operates in a team structure. There are currently three participant PIP Teams -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.

There are currently three different Biography Teams - The Biography Team, the Abandoned Team, and the Popular Team.

You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team. The Biography Team works on profiles from their watchlist and other profiles that interest them. Are you happy with the Team you are on? If you are interested in working with a different Team, please let us know.

If you have not already done so, we invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. (You will need your Wiki ID for both). Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.

We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project meet its goals. We would like to hear about the successes you’ve had and would also appreciate any feedback you have to help improve the Project. We are in the process of transitioning to a team structure. There will be three participant PIP Teams to start -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team Level 1, working on profiles from your own watchlist and whatever else you find. Biography Teams Levels 2 and 3 will work on designated profiles for notables (Level 3) and everyday people (Level 2). Please let us know if you would like to help with a higher-level Bio Team or one of the other Teams.

You joined the Project before the Voyage started in late 2018. We would like to invite you to consider a "fast track" Voyage, especially if you would like to work at a higher level on the Biography Team. If you’re interested, choose a profile from your own watchlist that you have completed to the best of your ability and compare it to the Voyage Biography Standards. If your profile is at Level 2 or better, include a link to the profile in your response to this check-in for a “fast track” review.

Thank you very much Kerry for the link to FamilySearch App to match profiles in WikiTrees and FamilySource.

I have a question regarding Place Names. WikiTrees doesn't seem to follow the same criteria that FamilySearch uses; city, county, state, country. When matching profiles it selects the Place name when missing a city as county, state, country making it appear that the county could be either the city or county. For example, if someone were born in Arapahoe County, Colorado, the proper formatting is ", Arapahoe, Colorado, United States". WikiTree drops the leading comma leaving one to question whether Arapahoe is a city or county.

I'm sorry I didn't see what you had done earlier, but (the automatic thank you was sent), but I wished to thank you "in person". I need to learn how to do that! I very much appreciate you taking time to do what you did. It's very generous.

I don't want to get involved as it's not my ancestor, but if it was, I'd be checking out John Jackson who was in the Middlesex Co. area at the time Sussanah was born (still Lancaster Co. then). John was the son of William Brocas' sister (don't know her name). I can't transcribe and post the records I have because the publisher has a strict copyright. There might be other records not subject to copyright.

Hi Kerry, Thanks for your help on the Jorsch family. I'm not protective of my profiles. You can add sources in the profile when ever you find some.

Thanks Kerry - the thing that is tripping me up with Morten Simonsen is "Bornholm". In 1843 it wasn't part of Hovedstaden (from what I read anyway). I've looked at the family you found and am just not quite sure. Sort of frustrating.

I need help connecting my family to Ammerman-107," he is my GGGG grandfather ". According to records passed down to me, John Ammerman Jr is father of twins John Winters and Joshua," Joshua being my GGG ", born about 1824, died in 1850 in Washington Twp, Decatur Co, IN prior to 1850 census.
