It has been assumed Nicholas Bonham was the son of George Bonham, but it has also been suggested that Nicholas was George's brother.[1] This George Bonham has often been assumed, without evidence, to have been the same as George Bonham of Stanway estate in Lexden, Essex, England.
Biography
Nicholas' parents are unknown. Nicholas was a First Settler of Piscataway. He married to Hannah Fuller.[2]
Elijah[3] was cited by Monette as a child. This is disputed as MacGunnigle does not include him as a child. Nally-4 15:13, 30 September 2015 (EDT)[4]

Research Notes
Monnette indicates Hannah Fuller was the daughter of Edward (Jack Wilson note: This appears to be in error since it is well documented that Hannah is the daughter of Samuel, son of Edward), before at Barnstable, Mass. and arrived in PISCATAWAY, 1670-72. Signed "Oath of Allegiance," 1672, and was approved Sergeant, 1681. Dutch Schepen, 1673.[3]

I am new to Wikitree but I believe I may be able to help answer a few of the questions about the Bonham family and the Mayflower Pilgrims Edward Fuller and his son Samuel Fuller. My application for membership in the Mayflower Society was just approved. My application was approved in October 2021. Just in time for the 400th Anniversary of the first Thanksgiving in 1621. Thanksgiving has a new meaning to me now. Knowing that my 9th great grandfather Samuel Fuller was a part of the first Thanksgiving adds a new depth and dimension when I think of all of the families across America who sit down at their table and give thanks for all that we have and for bringing our families together again.
Welcome to WikiTree, William! Samuel Fuller is also my ninth great grandfather. Our genealogies fork at your fourth generation above, so we are ninth cousins. From there, you stayed another eight generation in the Bonham line, while I stayed eight generations in the Dunham line.
I agree with you that having that connection makes the Thanksgiving story much more personal. They were extraordinary people.
I recommend reading the article below. It is by another cousin of ours who is a journalist. He took a dream trip several years ago, tracing the journeys of Samuel Fuller in England, Holland, and America.
Should I say hello Cousin? I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving as I did. The article you attached was very interesting. I would love to take that trip in the future. My next genealogy trip will be to Ohio and Indiana to visit where my Bonham and Wood ancestors lived in the past.
Beryl, please understand that this Bonham family has all sorts of internet speculation, because there simply isn't any evidence, beyond the fact that men named Nicholas and George Bonham showed up in Plymouth Colony in the 1630s. Geni includes good and bad stuff, the same as ancestry.com. Both should be ignored, unless they provide documentation. This Nicholas should be detached from George Bonham and then merged with Nicholas Bonham-15.
Revision....Had to be son or brother of George. To become new citizen. he had to be related to an already citizen. What other relative could Nicholas have had other than his father, mother or sibling? George was only other adult Bonham on record in town.
Bonham-558 and Bonham-15 appear to represent the same person because: Same man. Death Date the same (birth date is 1630), wife the same. Please merge. Thank you.

Furthermore, there is no reason to associate George Bonham the immigrant to Massachusetts with the Bonham family of Stanway Hall.
