How to find duplicate profiles for merging

Pretty basic question, but is there an easy way to find duplicate profiles that need merging?  I suspect there may be a duplicate for a profile I just completed, but not sure how to find it without a WT ID.  Thanks, Pamela Lohbeck-3.

Go to Search on the Find drop-down menu, and input the name.  You should get a list of all the WikiTree profiles with that name.  If you know the birth date you're looking for, then sort the list by birth date.

Good luck!

Edit:  Now I see you're looking for a pretty ancient profile.  There are several with the same name in a somewhat similar time frame, and it looks like the others could use more research.  So as I said, good luck!

After having tried both the alternatives described by Ros and Kerry, I think it can still be useful to use the basic search I've described.

Or you could go to the foot of the profile you are interested in, and click on the link 'find matches for...'.

Thanks, Ros.  I've learned something new!
And it was right in front of my face all the time.  Thankyou Ros!!

In addition to Ros's tip, to find matches for anyone/everyone on your Watchlist:  Open your Watchlist (under MyWikitree), then select Find Matches in the bar under Free Space Profiles / Person Profiles.

Find Ancestor Matches should get you there directly.
