Here's a southern California Christmas! Christmas, 1912, in the Los Angeles area, in Orange, Calif., at my great-grandparents home.
Left to right, standing in back: My grandfather, Peter, before he was married, his brother in law Henry Secrist, Peter's mother and my great-grandmother Rachel (Winebrenner) Stoner, her husband, my great-grandfather, C. C. Stoner, and an unknown person.
Left to right, sitting: Probably Peter's older sister and Henry Secrist's wife, but not 100% sure, as she doesn't look quite right, but who else could she be?--Ella Secrist, Peter's sister in law, and sister of his wife-to-be, Ethel Stoner, 5 months pregnant with her 4th child, below her lying down Ella and Henry's son John Secrist, to his left, his big sister Mae Secrist, on her lap Ethel's 2nd child Paul, standing to their left beside her grandma Ethel's eldest child Edith, lying down on the right, Ethel's husband and my grandfather's brother George Stoner, holding his 3rd child, Henry.
There are some family photos of when it snowed in Pasadena, around Jan., 1934, but my cousin with the scanner hasn't scanned them yet.
