Is Geni worth the price?

I have a very extensive Tree on wikitree, but only a basic on on geni as it is a paid site.  My question is is it worth having a subscription to that site.  I was wondering if anybody here was members of that site and could tell me?

I plan to keep using wikitree but I was thinking about just expanding.

I have accounts both places and find way more junk on Geni than on Wikitree.  Geni doesn’t have the emphasis on sourcing and bios that Wikitree has and they encourage downloading junk from MyHeritage and other sites. I have not found it particularly useful (I was asked to join to help with cleanup in a specific area).  On the other hand, however, they have lots of members in other countries, so if your ancestors haven’t been living in the U.S. or the U.K. for the past two or three hundred years you may well find what you need there.

Currently high in the popularity charts

and he has a daughter as well.

Someone saw "DSP" and thought it meant "daughter and son probably."
I have noticed that many Wikitree bios are copied over there, and some folks who left Wikitree after objections to their unsourced and/or mythical profiles headed right over to Geni and added them there.
Geni is now owned by MyHeritage.
Thank you.  I think I will just keep my basic (free) membership.

I had DNA done through 23andme (my heritage) and ancestry several years back. I set up trees with both, but stopped with my heritage because there were too many undoubted and messy entries. I came across Beni and found the same issues. I still have ancestry, but am cautious because of incorrect sourcing and other problems that have been discussed here. So far, Winifred has been the most diligent about sourcing and verifying. I also like the camaraderie that isn't available with the paid sites. Carol (Baldwin -3428)

This hilarious blog post from 2010 by Tamura Jones is still a valid criticism of Geni, I think. They're giving the concept of "collaborative genealogy" a bad name.
