Abby asked that we help with Lois (Adams) Claflin on this thread: http://www.wikitree.com/g2g/75882/global-family-reunion-help-with-adams-research?show=75926#a75926

I did some digging there, but didn't get far, but I started looking a little further into the Claflins and I found another very familiar name: Alden.  For the many, many researchers with Alden and Mullins roots, here's the connection to the Global Family Reunion tree:

Eli Claflin (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Claflin-38, 30 steps away from AJ), who was Lois (Adams) Claflin's father-in-law, had a sister Lois (Claflin) Jones > her husband was Nathaniel Jones > his mother Elizabeth (Alden) Jones > father Nathaniel Alden > father John Alden > father John Alden Jr. > whose parents were Mayflower passengers John Alden and Priscilla Mullins.

Of course, if you know your Mayflower history, you know the Aldens were close with the Standish family and their children intermarried several times over, so with the Alden/Mullins connection, you also get the Standish connection as well (Bonus!)

Great work, Kyle!  If you have a few spare moments, be sure to add the "steps to AJ" template to their profiles so people can see that their connection might be there.

Thank you!

Nice one, Kyle! Your work on the early American families for this project has always been interesting to see. If you take a look at Roland's list, there already were connections to the Aldens/Mullinses/Standishes in the 20-25 step range. It's fascinating how many people end up connected to the Mayflower families.

I wasn't able to use Roland's list - going to the page caused my browser to crash.  Too much data, I guess.

Thank you Kyle! This is great. Ironically, I was just talking to a proud Standish descendant yesterday, so now I can officially tell him we are cousins.
