Help with Elijah P. Powers of New London Connecticut?

Question

Hi there, I'm looking for anyone who can help me with going back farther in my Powers family line.  I can only go back to Elijah P. Powers of New London, Connecticut. Born in between 1811 and 1814 in  Chesterfield, New London, Connecticut. His wife was Harriet Kilbourn. Daughter of Captain Joshua Kilbourn and Lucy Holt. Can anyone help me get back farther with Elijah specifically?

I saw your post and I thought I could help. So I went on google.com just to see  exactly what I needed to do.  I hope you found the page on Wiki tree  on Elijah P Powers,   Well, I also went to FamilySearch.org and I found this: 1860  Census New London,Connecticut

Father is George Powers b.  17 Nov. 1791  Middletown, Middlesex, Ct. Married Julia Ann Blair.

Parents of George Powers b. 1791 is Gregory Powers b. 1738 - died 1833. Spouse is Sarah Overwyk Johonnot b. unk - died Feb. 1807/

Gregory Powers was born in Naples, Italy in 1738 . He married Sarah Overwyk Johonnot and had 9 children. He passed away 12June 1833 in Stow, Ohio.   Children are;  Anthony Powers  1784-1894;  Harriet Powers 1789 - 1899;  George Powers -  b.1791-  Unk ;  Sally  b.1793 - 1893;   Julia Powers b. 1798 -  18 April 1894;  Alfred Powers. b. 11 June 1800;  Gregory Powers Jr. b.1802- 1902;  Stephen Willard Powers  b. Feb 1807 - died - 1907    All the children were born in Middleton Ct. except for Stephen W. he was born in Stow, Ohio. His mother died giving him life.

I believe Elijah P. Powers father is George Powers not Gregory Powers which I gave you.  Gregory I believe is George's father,  Elijah's grandfather.  Thank you very much. Nancy
