Just had a quick look and not at all happy with "Queen of England" - an England might have been the family ambition but it certainly didn't exist in Alfred & Ealhswith's time. Queen of "Wessex" please, it was "the last kingdom" to hold out against the Danes/Norse invaders.

It seems like all of Ealhswith's ancestry is shaky at best. Her mother Eadburh has no attested parentage. All we really know is that Asser says she was of royal Mercian descent without naming any parents ("de regali genere Merciorum regis").
