I have at least 4 generations of Pattersons living in Midgic, Sackville Parish, Westmorland Co., New Brunswick.  I have never been able to trace the parents of my GGGrandfather Joseph Patterson-4529.

Hi Joe,

We may be cousins!  I don't have Pattersons, but I do have Read and Maxwell brick walls in Sackville, and I see some of your Patterson spouses have the same surnames.

I too have been scouring the internet for resources for Sackville, including the NB Genealogical Society.  Other than the sources you have found, I can add only a breadcrumb: a John Patterson was deacon of the Sackville Baptist Church in 1823.  https://archive.org/stream/cihm_92585#page/n11/mode/2up/search/patterson

For myself, I have concluded that a trip to NB is necessary. I've added Joseph Patterson to my research list in case I get there before you figure this out.

Yes, that John Patterson b. 1786, d. 1872 is the only Patterson in that area (Harper's Brook) that is a  'possible' I have ever found that could be Joseph's father, BUT I have found no documentation to support that.

What Maxwell and Read are you looking for?
