I've been browsing through the Upper Canada Land Petitions, trying to sort out the Jacob and John Dingmans so I can link the petitions to the correct profiles.
In the process, I stumbled upon a dispute between Jacob and son John, where John fraudulently obtained a deed in his own name, to his fathers land. I'm now trying to figure out whether these are my ancestors, or just a cousin/uncle situation.
I will be uploading transcriptions for all the Jacob and John Dingman petitions that I find, and after that I may look at some of the other names as well.
I've also added a summary across all the petitions, by date.
