Wow, quite an accomplishment.... Congratulations Edison!

Edison

CONGRATULATIONS!

Taylor

Thanks! Though for months I've said that if G2G ratings were based partially on word count, then I'd have way more points than I do. <cough, cough...cough>

Congratulations to you, Edison!!

Wait. What?

Pilot? What?! I don't know how to fly this thing...

But thanks! Just need to keep the autopilot inflated....

This explains a lot if this is the type of movie you like, Ed ;-)
Actually, I usually prefer feature-length cartoons....

I just realized that yesterday was my one-year WikiVersary. But I wasn't very active the first couple of months. Or I'd likely have hit 100K points, like, I don't know, maybe five days sooner?  :-)

Thanks, Dorothy!

Way to go Ed, especially on helping with DNA questions! :-) Go Team Roses! LoL

What's a "DNA"?

deoxyribonucleic acid

I'm going to have twins and name them De-nay and Re-nay. If quadruplets, Addie, Cyto, and Thea would work for three of them, but what the heck would you do with Guanine? I don't think a daughter would like being named Guannie. Or that a son would appreciate being named Guano...  =:-o

Edison you are a treasure trove of great DNA information.  Thanks for all your contributions!
by Laura Bozzay G2G6 Pilot (841k points)
I've been called many, many things. "Treasure trove" has never been one of them. Most are a bit more, uh, caustic.  :-)

Thanks, Laura!
Edison,  I actually love the detail in your explanations.   People often do not know what they don't realize they don't know.  The thoroughness of your answers leaves little to chance and in an educational forum like G2G that is a plus in my mind.  You are exactly the kind of person I love to sit and talk to because you are always going to learn something of value.  Keep up the great work!

I hope I learn something new every day of my life.  And I have lived 64 of them so far!   I learn from your posts!  I love that!

Wait. Let me print that out. I need to frame it and hand-carry it next door to Emma.  ;-)

Many thanks, Laura. I don't set out with the intent to write long posts, it just seems that sometimes the subject matter requires it. That, and I can't write my name in fewer than 15 words. Hm...there may be an issue after all....

Emma knows me well.  We are in a lot of projects together!

With the number of words you have contributed to g2g, I am surprised you hadn't reached this goal already ;-) But seriously, thank you for sharing your knowledge with so many.
by Emma MacBeath G2G Astronaut (1.3m points)

I know, right? Those of us who may not be particularly bright but who put in a lot of effort to...

Oh. I get it. You didn't mean the number of words as a good thing. Okay, okay...  :-)

I wasn't judging whatsoever--merely noticing a fact :-)

Thanks, David. Let's see... You have 335K points, Laura has 301K, Emma has 446K, Charlotte has 621K, Dorothy has 882K...

I'll be stuffed and standing in the Smithsonian before I ever get there. All your records are safe with me.  ;-)

Thanks, Susan. I'll retire when I hit 250,000.

Hm. I wonder if the term "Bloviator Emeritus" a thing....  :-)
