1830 is very early for Dubbo. It was not founded (as a village) until 1849. Before that there was a homestead called Dubbo station set up in 1828 by a chap called Robert Dulhunty. He is said to have had an affinity with the aborigines. Perhaps your Michael Carr was one of his workers?
