I have been informed that I need to adopt the SNODGRASS profile in order to edit them out of my tree, can someone please tell me how to do this?

If someone is connected to your branch that shouldn't be you go to your person, click edit and then choose add/remove spouse on the right hand side.

If it's a wrong parent, then edit, edit father/mother and add the correct person in.

Snodgrass-355 was created for William Joshua Snodgrass born 1833 in Virginia. His wife was Elizabeth Catherine Meadows. You changed William Joshua Snodgrass to Harry Leroy Fisher born 1882 in Alabama. You then changed it to Samuel Fowler born 1842, and changed Elizabeth's profile to Commitney Clementine (Meadows) Franklin. If you want to create new people, you should check to see if they are already on WikiTree. If they aren't, feel free to create them. If you think an incorrect spouse is attached, you can detach that spouse after putting a source on the profile in question, and note who and why you detached.

In changing all of the information on a profile in this way, you essentially erased William Snodgrass and his wife. If you need help with adding people, correcting relationships, etc then the G2G is full of wonderful people that can help you. I know connecting people on WikiTree can be confusing at first, it is a challenging but then wonderful experience. Please let us know how we can help you straighten out these relationships.

That profile isn't an orphan, so you can't adopt it.  What do you need to do, exactly?

Also, you really should provide a source showing why you deleted the names and dates from some of his children, please.

Please do not convert profiles of deceased people to Anonymous  Anonymous. What is your concern about these profiles? Do you think there are errors in the genealogy? If you explain why you want to "edit them out of [your] tree," other members can help you handle the situation more effectively -- and consistent with WikiTree policy.

Also, please remember that these people are not in "your tree."  We all share WikiTree. We don't "own" our ancestors here.

Snodgrass-355 was William Joshua Snodgrass but seems to have undergone a few transformations as well. These need supporting by primary documentation or restoring.
