If I add a GEDCOM is it automatically compared to other GEDCOMs or do I have to find a match?

I think that it is incumbant on the person who uploads a ged.com (that is accepted) to overtime make sure that the information transferred is correct for each provile

Unfortunatley, I find too many ged-coms that have been uploaded and appear to have been forgotten.  Leads to lots of errors.

Yes when you uload a gedcom for matching it is compared to the rest of wikitree, you get an email with a link to the comparison page. After checking, if you join wikitree, you can upload your gedcom if you want.
