As it stands, do you think it is inviting or over the top? If most of you think the first answer, I will be posting all over my social networks, too!!!

I think it's fine for the most part.  I do see that you only have personal knowledge for a source.  There's nothing wrong with such sources, but you should add information from other places which others can verify.  I looked at another of your profiles and you had just Ancestry.com as a source.  This is too general to be a real source.  I add a lot of sources from Ancestry but give a description of the information there and a link to the actual page on ancestry.  When you're ready, I'd also suggest you use the inline sourcing method to indicate what facts are available on a source. You can read in the help files how to do it, and feel free to look at any of my profiles which are open to see how it's done and what it looks like.  One other thing I'm not sure is a rule, but I think I've read somewhere, which is to not add pictures or icons which move on their own.  They're distracting IMO.  But don't take my word on that.  So, as I said, generally a fine profile and lots of interesting reading.

Thank you SO much for the feedback It is MUCH appreciated!!!

Unfortunately My many of my sources have ancestry. It takes a lot of time to upload, and I am just 2 steps above hunt and peck, I put Ancestry.com temporarily until I can go back and do each profile right- which is MY next major 3 month project.  I am getting the sources improved but it is a step by step process for me.

Debbie,

It may take a little longer but you may be able to find sources on FamilySearch as well as Ancestry. The advantage is that it isn't behind a pay wall and they also provide nice citations you can cut and paste.

Yes!!! Recently, I have started using it, even if I already downloaded it from Ancestry, because Ancestry has to put the film number, and LDS will show you the document with the citation. I usually avoid BOTH their personal family tree sources like the plague... Way too much family Mythology there. Though LDS is at least a little more scrutinizing.

I eventually want to use the WikiTree source templates for all my uploaded censuses and other documents. but that will take time. Sigh!  Bit by bit...

I have big visions but VERY slow Keyboard skills.

Debbie, something that may make finding your sources on FamilySearch easier is the RootsSearch tool. It automagically fills in information from the data fields on your WikiTree profile (yay, less typing!), then lets you choose which site to search. You can find the tool in the profile menu (labeled Surname-xxx) in the top right section of the profile screen. The username password it wants is the one for WikiTree. I use it all the time and it helps so much.

PS. Sometimes the dates don't transfer over and I still have to type them in. I've not figured out the key to getting them always to fill.
Debi,  I am just now learning about this tool.  I really had no idea what it was or the reason for it's existence.  I does make a BIG difference.   Thank you very Much!!!!
