Large families on wikitree.

Question

I recently started a new section on the wikitree tops page for people with the most children and most grandchildren that are recorded here at wikitree. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:WikiTree_Tops

I started off the list with the following

64 children of Herber Chase Kimball
56 children of Brigham Young
37 children of Lorenzo Snow
31 children of Miles Park Romney

101 grandchildren of Miles Park Romney

Can any find any other very large families documented here at wiki tree? Note the above numbers are what are currently on wikitree other children / grandchildren have not been counted if these don't currently have a profile. There is a good list of candidates at Wikipedia but few of the people listed see verifiable which is where wikitree could come into it's own.

Earl, can you say more about the purpose of such a list? Is it, as Ales suggests below to identify potential data problems?

Most of the claims on their are not validated and wikitree seemed like a good place to do that work and record all the children. I was also interested in how many grandchildren and great grandchildren someone might had who had such a large number of children, especially those who had more than 100 children.

I started off recording the biggest families on wikitree on the wiki tops page but it has now spun off into a research category of it's own

Since Ales started to help work has moved in other directions as we are finding lots of duplicates. As the moment I have been asking for collaborators to either add missing children and grandchildren or merge away duplicates and to start work on adding new big families of people on the Wikipedia article who are not already on wikitree.

Mothers with most children seems to be a candidate to some indication that we have a problem on that profile.... maybe we have other errors that find children born "to often"

My stepdad's ancestor, Hugh Elisha Anderson, was married six times and had, IIRC, 27 children (however, this is including a few stepsons that he raised after their mother [his wife] died). For whatever reason, his profile on Wikitree does not yet show his entire gigantic family.
