Shared Photo: Nine Campbell sisters in Ohio

Question

My great-grandmother, [[Campbell-16685|Mattie Campbell]]Martha Eloise Campbell Taylor, is in the center, back row, flanked by her eight sisters.
I suspect this was taken about 1903, when their mother, [[Rhodes-3815|Clara Rhodes]] Clarinda, passed away. I know they made their own dresses, and these are very fancy. Nora Rowena, the eldest, was born in 1864, Nelvah Blanche, the youngest, was born 22 years later in 1886.

I wanted to share this family photo of Esta Rae Campbell with the community. Location: Auglaize, Ohio, USA. Date: about 1903.

What a great photo. Eight sisters, wow!!! Did they have any brothers? I love it.

There were nine girls and four boys when my 2nd great grandfather applied for his Civil War pension! Two of the brothers served in the Spanish-American War. Another one went west to be a miner, and ended up in a predicament that landed him in San Quentin for awhile... One brother moved to South Dakota, and HE had 13 children, of which the youngest son is still alive!
