Because I found the Niedersachsen Archive NLA -- Special Inventory of Emigrants when searching for my "Roots", I have been creating wiki profiles of these immigrants. Surprisingly, or just by co-incidence many of my over 3,000 profiles created from there come from Clausthal.
Clausthal is of course "Clausthal-Zellerfeld", and my of my profiles come from there as well. This study for now is concentrating on Clausthal history. As a non-German I need to insure it is known that the story I write is from an "auswander", no I guess I should say Auslander?
Especially for anyone local to C-Z, please feel free to comment on anything I write that is not characteristic or innacurate about this very interesting capital of mining technology.
If I had only know where my roots were when I was stationed in Kassel!
