My grandfather was Marion Dalph Massie, Sr. and was born in 1902 in Winchester, Ohio. Apparently he was adopted by his grandmother Rachel E. Connell Massie. His father was Ralph Haynie/Haymie/Henney and Ralph was born in 1880 (don’t know where). Marion’s mother was Margaret E. Massie and she was born 14 Mar 1881 in Winchester, Ohio. In the 1900 census it shows Margaret Henney being with her parents and she was married for 2 years (1898) don’t know where. For some reason, I think I cam across Kenton, KY might be where Margaret and Ralph might have been married, but I checked Public Library and found nothing. I also checked Kentondeeds.com and came up empty.
In the 1910 census Margaret “Maggie” Haynie living with her mother and it states that she is a widow and Dalph Haynie was 7 years old.
Can anyone help me with this please?
