what is the best way to get editing rights when the PM is inactive?

Question

I created a page for my living grandfather as I am the only one in the immediate family with an interest in genealogy. Once I connected him to his parents, I realized that he had a profile created already, and he shows up as his own brother.

I sent the profile manager a PM over a week ago, and I just realized they have not been active since 2022.  

The original profile is Hogge-22 and mine is Hogge-362. I would like to see them merged and to be added to the trusted list so I can edit etc. I dont know the other profile manager, but I hope they are related somehow since my grandfather is still living.

Any help is appreciated!

EDIT - I cannot initiate a merge OR use the Unresponsive Manager  since the other profile is also living and I cannot see the profile. Thank you for those suggestions, however it does not apply in this scenario.

Continue to try to contact the other PM.

Send a private message again, post a comment on their profile both the PM and if you get no results, contact Admin for WT

Send a message to info @ wikitree.com and explain the situation.

Initiate a merge. Then it will merge both profiles. Either the current profile manager will ok the merge or if they are not active it will be available for anyone to merge after 30 days. You will become joint manager of the profile at that time.

You can carry on editing your profile in the meantime, but there is no need to duplicate information from the other profile. And check to see what other links the other profile has.

Just noticed that he is living, so it won’t immediately open the profile for merging, and you may need to go down the unresponsive manager option.

Hi, I cannot use the Unresponsive Manager since the profile is marked as living and that is not available.

send a private message and ask to be placed on the trusted list and initiate a merge.

As I indicated in my question, I have sent a private message over a week ago. I cannot initiate a merge as the person is living, and there is no way to do that currently. Thanks though!
