My brickwall ancestor is Joseph T. Pile.   born around 1800-1815 perhaps.. . not sure.  

shows up in Jamaica around 1838- 1840 from somewhere in UK.  

Traveled from Bristol. Family  story that maybe --Scottish origin?..   

Records show him working on 2 estates prior to marriage in 1841.

Marriage to Mary McAnuff Gayleard in 1841

Buys estate in 1845 naming it "Bristol"

Death in 1892 in Jamaica.

Brickwall!  any suggestions?
