Join the fun as we kick off a Special Summer 2024 Project:

100 Days of Appalachia!

The 100 Days of Appalachia is a goal to focus on Genealogy and the Appalachia Project on WikiTree. There will be Mini Challenges, Quick Tasks, Show and Tell, Brick Wall Weekends, Notables Improvement and more. Every Day will be something to work on that is related to Appalachia or to help out other Appalachians.

The Challenge Starts on May 1st and ends on August 9th, 2024.

We have a weekly calendar (updated every Sunday) that lists the Challenges for the day. Take a sneak peek!

Do as little or as much as your wish. Each day will be a different Appalachia-centric mini quest.

Biscuits for you too friend :)
I feel very silly because I have seen this for a long time and am just asking now - "Biscuits?" What are biscuits?
Hello Betsy,

Biscuits are a soft, baking powder-leavened quick bread. You take flour and butter and a whole lotta love and bake them up to feed family and friends. Nothing like a hot fluffy biscuit with some butter and jam! We welcome everyone to Appalachia with a tray of Biscuits and a happy hello!

Sillylaugh- of course I know what biscuits are, just wasn't sure what they were on WikiTree. Thought maybe I was missing something! Biscuits do sound good though . . . .

I am hoping to learn more about the Land Grant settlers in early to mid 1700s, especially Augusta County, Col of Va.
