My brickwall is Isaac Williams, born about 1740 and died c.1832

It is likely he or his father came directly from Wales. (my grandfather, Alson Jay Williams, considered himself Welsh) Acording to James Hamblin Ancestry book 1902, our Isaac Williams was married to Delight, not known if it is a maiden name or first. They had about 10 children. Our John was born c.1771 in Norwich and married Clarissa Hamlin in Washington or Pittsfield in the Berkshires 1796. They lived for a number of years in the Berkshires, Massachusetts and then in  1817 jJohn and Clarissa  and their eight children settled in Avon OH on 600 acres they had received in 1813. Their son, Henry Harrison Williams was 5 years old but remembered clearly the move by oxcart. Henry H. is my 2nd great grandfather. I believe his older sister, Temperance Williams "Temp" married a Garfield.

FamilySearch  seems to have a pretty well built up profile (13 sources)  for what appears to be the Isaac Williams that you speak of. The family search ID for Isaac is G92D-8C5. I don’t see any wife named Delight but there is an Anna with unknown surname. They have about 9 children listed, one of which is John C. and married Clarissa Hamlin as his second wife as his first wife died after only a year of marriage. This John had a sister Temperance that married a Milton Garfield so this seems to all fit. Isaacs origins are not super clear so this still may be a bit of a brick wall but being a Williams myself of Welsh descent I just had to try to help! Good luck.
