PRDH template "Error 894: Missing Required parameter in template"

Question

Recently I started using { {PRDH} } and { {PRDH|lang=fr} } without parameters as a general address for PRDH ( as described in the first two examples of https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:PRDH ).

Unfortunatly I just noticed that the type and ID are Required parameters (as documented further down the same page) so I ended up with dozens of "Error 894: Missing Required parameter in template" in my suggestions.

Could the template be modified to do like the 

{ {FindAGrave|1234|sameas=yes} } thus avoiding the error message ? Something like { {PRDH|id=no} } would do.

If not, correcting the documentation (remove the erroneous examples) would also be an improvement.

Christian, the PRDH website address, if actually wanted, is entered only as  https://www.prdh-igd.com/Membership PRDH (in brackets), not as a template.  The FG example you cite has an ID parameter included in it.  Don't particularly see the need to enter a template just for the website.

We went through a whole evolution, still ongoing, to get the various older types of links converted to a template format so that if ever the URL changes again, one click by Ales would update all those with templates.  So we set up some types of items, as follows:  {{PRDH|Individu|xx|lang=fr}} {{PRDH|Acte|xx|lang=fr}} {{PRDH|Famille|xx|lang=fr}} etc. (xx is place for number to be entered).  They automatically name the source more fully when saved.  

One thing that should be entered on any of these is who they pertain to.  Like {{PRDH|Famille|xx|lang=fr}} Pierre Lefebvre - Jeanne Madore;   {{PRDH|Acte|xx|lang=fr}} Mariage Lefebvre - Madore .... as a number is not particularly informative, and since the same type of template will be used for successive marriages, for example, generating different families, helps to see at a glance which one is relevant.

So someone decided that {{PRDH}} and {{PRDH|lang=fr}} were not valid usage anymore.

Fair enough. 

I hope I dont have to explain why the official documentation of Template:PRDH#Examples should be corrected to reflect that policy.
