Question

All my life I heard that my maternal great grandfather was born in England and sent to the US to be adopted.  A few documents state that he was born in England, however I cannot find anything to substantiate that claim.  His name was George David Palmer, mostly stated that he was born in 1828 in Ohio, died in 1932 in Detroit, Michigan. at the age of 105. I have a death certificate.  What resources could I use to investigate further?

Don't know if this relates or not, as this is in indiana. But two from England, same names and near same DOB. Worth checking if they were mixed up. Would help if you added a profile for George with info you have.
