Help on prussian immigrant to New South Wales

Hello,

I have added and been trying to connect Bolivian dictator and later elected president Hugo Banzer Suarez (Banzer_Suárez-1) to the global tree. Some of his roots go back to a confectionary family in Osnabrück, actually with Swiss roots.

I have then been able to find a connection to the Rohlfing family, which is a family of organ builders in Osnabrück.

Funnily enough, upon researching them, I was able to find an Osnabrück to New South Wales immigrant, who I have tried to source as best as I can, but if anyone wants to help improve the sources and the profile, I would very much appreciate it.

Perhaps he is an interesting connection due to his link to Bolivia?

Thanks

Sven

Thanks Sven, I do not expect to add much to the Australian information you have found. I will have a quick look at this and the connections in Bolivia.

Thank you, Steve - much appreciated!
Sorry Sven, I have probably looked at the same sources as you had already found. I did not add anything to Rohlfing-252. Someone more familiar with Sydney might find more.
Thank you again for looking. I am a bit excited to have found my first Australian immigrant from Osnabrück area…

Hello Sven

I have added newspaper death notices for both Herman and his wife. Keep up the good work!

I've replaced the paid subscription Ancestry references with ones to the NSW Births Deaths and Marriages Registry which is publicly accessible. You might also find it useful if looking for birth/death/marriage links for other family members in New South Wales.

Thank you, Mike, that is very much appreciated. I did not know the site, so will definitely try and learn to work with it a little bit more.
