Where to search for information about Francesca Moscato?

Question

I have an ancestor, Francesca Moscato, who gave birth in prison. The only indication the birth record of her son gives is she's in a prison called il Collegio in Caltanissetta and that she was born in Leonforte and her dad's name is Calogero.

There's a couple of Francesca Moscato in Leonforte but i don't know if the timelines really match.

Where do i go from here? Is there some way to access prison records?

I thought it could be her, but i don't know how to confirm she's the same woman that was incarcerated in Caltanissetta in 1876 :(

If you can find a census record (State delle Anime or Foglie di Familia) for her town/family, they usually wrote down when someone was in prison, in the army, moved away from town, etc.
