So much Rice, so little time... a possible familial cluster of NSSAR Patriots

If his father truly is Hezekiah Rice, then that might increase the likelihood that he and his brother Jeptha were in the American Revolutionary War with their father...

On John's profile (assigned middle initial B), it looks like some of the sourcing is mixed. On one of the FamilySearch sources, the link goes to a John Rice (no middle initial B), who was allegedly the son of John Green Rice and Elizabeth Harper Hopkins; and, yet other John B Rice sources on FamilySearch are not attached to anyone...

Right now, just trying to sort out if I have the correct John Rice attached to the correct parents, and I am much less certain of his alignment than when I last worked the profile.

Meanwhile, we have the possible father, Hezekiah and possible two sons, all from North Carolina, in theRoster of North Carolina Soldiers in the American Revolution. I was hoping to close out the weekend with getting some clarity.
