How do you source FindAGrave.com?

Question

Can you tell me the "right" way to source FindAGrave.com memorials?

I've been going through the Data Doctors list to add links to the FindAGrave sources that don't have a memorial number or link, but last night I received a rather rude email from a WikiTreer telling me I was doing it wrong. I'm feeling really discouraged, as I was just trying to help. So what is the "right" way to cite this source?

This page Help: Find A Grave provides the details if you want to manually construct the source citations.

The easiest way, to me, is to use the WikiTree BEE app/extension to format my Find A Grave source citations.

The WikiTree Sourcer app/extension will also correctly format Find A Grave source citations (and source citations from FamilySearch, Ancestry, and other repositories.)

Both of these apps/extensions automatically place the link in the appropriate position within the source citation and include all other information which should be included in a well-formatted source citation.

Sourcer also has an option to include the narrative to go in the Bio with an inline citation.

Every FindAGrave.com memorial has a blue "source citation" link at the bottom of the page. click on it then copy the source citation that opens up.
