Shared Photo: Formal Portrait

Question

I wanted to share this family photo of Eda Louis Tschann, my paternal grandmother. This was taken in 1911 in Ames, Iowa, upon her graduation from college. She had completed high school in 3 years and she graduated college in 3 years. Following graduation she taught biology and latin at Northfield High School in Minnesota for 4 years. She was a huge influence on me as a child.

What a lovely photo of your grandmother Eda! Everything about her looks so soft - her hair, her perfect complexion, her gentle smile, and that delicate dress. I love the way the flowers complement the ones on her dress. She was certainly a strong and intelligent woman, from reading her profile. You were fortunate to have her in your life.
