My name is Sándor Bárány, a Hungarian living in Vienna, Austria. My ancestors came - as it just usual in Middle Europe - from several parts of the Pannonian / Carpathian Basin. It was relatively easy to find them back to ~150-170 years, but no further. I am 25% Jewish - a fact I recognised only after my 50th (very many families had big trauma with the SOA, and did not tell a word to the next generation). From that part of the tree, there are not many documents to find. I will get soon my first Ancestry DNA test result, I do hope to find relatives in that way.
As a newbie here I decided to participate in 2003 Source-a-Thon. However, I have no sourcing skills yet, so I will need a mentor! 2023 SourMy name is Sándor Bárány, a Hungarian living in Vienna, Austria.
