Do you have a name to go with it? That would help find it.

According to this page these records are available at Scotands People.

Elizabeth Anderson, born November 28, 1615.  I hope this information is helpful.  I don’t have a WikiTree Profile for her.

Search Scotlands People for Elizabeth Anderson at any time at the Glasgow Commissary Court only gets one result:

G2G truncated the above. The Reference number was CC9/7/77

Using Fuzzy Matching found it:

The WikiTree Sourcer extension will also generate a WikiTree citation for you from Scotland's People. Unfortunately the SP site does not have a way to link to the individual record:

Does citation I posted mention a Marion Campbell being married to a Stewart or Stuart?
I'm not sure what you mean by citation you posted. Do you mean the reference number CC9/7/36? I believe that is specific to that record for Elizabeth.

If you are looking for a marriage record there is one:

Surname:   ANDERSON
Forename:  MARION
Spouse Name: GEORGE STEWART/
Date: 23/04/1688
Parish Number: 021
Ref : 40 / 46
Parish: KIRKWALL
Hello Rob, I meant reference number.

Anyhow, I believe you answered my question.  I actually would love to see the actual document to verify whether the document ONLY refers to Elizabeth Anderson and NOT to a Marion CAMPBELL or any STUART or STEWART.
Hello Rob, from another answer, it seems that reference “CC9/7/36” appears to refer to an entire collection of documents and not to one specific document.  I apologize for troubling you with a non-specific inquiry.  Thanks for all your help!

The Commissariot Record of Glasgow: Register of Testaments 1547-1800 vol 7, p. 88 in the Old Series from the Scottish Record Society, has a Marion Campbell, spouse to James Stewart, of Torrens, burgh and par. of Glasgow, with date 24 Apr. 1668.  See here

There is no more information than that, but going back to Scotland's People you would probably be able to find the full record.

That reference covers estates confirmed in Glasgow Commissary Court from 31 May 1666 through to 8 March 1669 see https://catalogue.nrscotland.gov.uk/nrsonlinecatalogue/details.aspx?reference=CC9%2f7%2f36&st=1&tc=y&tl=n&tn=n&tp=n&k=&ko=a&r=cc9%2f7%2f36&ro=s&df=&dt=&di=y

If you want information about an individual record you'll need to be more specific.

Hello Sheena, thanks for replying.  Amongst records within reference group, are any of the following names mentioned:  Marion Campbell as the wife of a James STUART or STEWART and a son Alexander STUART or STEWART?

Hello Sheena, I was hoping to see an actual screenshot of a document mentioning a Marion CAMPBELL.  I was not aware that the reference number “CC9/7/36” referred to a collection of several documents as opposed to a single document.  I apologize for troubling you with a non-specific inquiry.  Thanks for all your help!

Hi Enrique

My original link was to the catalogue of those records held by the National Records of Scotland.  Those records have been digitised and are online at scotlandspeople.gov.uk.  There IS a record for Marion Campbell or Stewart and the specific catalogue entry for that record is

"Wills and Testaments"

National Records of Scotland, Reference Number: CC9/7/36

[https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/ ScotlandsPeople] (accessed 27 August 2023)

Surname: Campbell; Forename: Mareoun; Date: 24/4/1668; Description: spouse to James Stewart, of Torrens, burgh and parish of Glasgow; Type: Testament Dative and Inventory; Court: Glasgow Commissary Court.

The date of the record is the date her testament was confirmed so she died before that date.  It's a testament dative and inventory which means she left an inventory of her possessions.  You can download a digital image of her inventory from the ScotlandsPeople site but you'll need to pay for it (and register for an account if you don't already have one).  Be warned - Scottish handwriting of that period can look like lace if you're not used to it!

Thanks, Sheena!  Your latest post fully answered my original question!  I’ve selected your combination of posts as the best answer.  Again, thanks for taking the time to locate document regarding Marion Campbell and James Stewart.
