Would there be any sort of list for children being moved from England to South Africa during WW1?

All I know about my grandfather is that he was born 1924 name Terrence James Topliss and the story that was told to me by him is that he was born in England possibly orphaned and moved to South Africa apparently he was a pilot in WW2 and he had lied about his age to get into the military. I have no proof of any of this (which is why I am looking for it now) He married Doreen Elizabeth Smit and had 2 children Micheal James Topliss (Changed surname to Brady) and Bruce Meredith Topliss.

Any help or direction would be very helpful

Hi Angelique,

Kaye here from Dublin Ireland.I have never herd of the name Topliss. So I had a look at the Index for Civil events in Ireland and I came up with Two people.

Marrage

Benjamin Topliss,Cork,1869.

Clerke Topliss,Longford,1864.

Its a long shot but you could look at immagration for both of these people and see if they resides in England. Their wifes are not mentioned.

Kaye Sullivan,Healy.
