Hi Wikitreers We have my great great grandfather Michael A. Borrie who I’m still trying to find in the 1950 census. I am sure his name is mispelled in the 1950 census with a variation but need collaboration in finding his 1950 census which he should be in considering he lived until 1959. Any collaboration is appreciated
Andrew:
Think that this could be him as "Mike Bonie" in Mooers, New York?

And the same entry from familysearch.org:

Incredible find! This is him they mispelled the whole family with typos. Son William is a Willie and Cornelia is Hennelia and he is as Bonie.
Why I get so frustrated with my French roots
Thank you very much appreciated
Thank you for the familysearch link I couldn’t view the ancestry record but with this spelling should be able to add the record
Still researching… but the g2g for John Borrie explains a little. Per forum responses edit of clipping
I was trying to find and remember why I put Anastase for possible middle name.
One reason is a birth date given (ancestry link mentioned above from forum) and the middle initial “A” on his gravestone.
I’ll look further into maybe a better source. Somehow between the typos misspellings French barriers it connects in some way
Edited for better clarity
Addendum the dates of birth of his brothers match the brothers obits mention Michael of Mooers. The brothers obits mention father. The g2g had this as a good source
Marriage of Jean Baptiste Barré and Louise Beaudin October 11, 1858, at Saint-Patrice-de-Sherrington, Sherrington, Les Jardins-de-Napierville, Quebec, Canada
Oh! You mean the discussion in https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/968929/john-borrie-1846-canada-need-canadian-french-york-genealogy ! I was not aware of it. Most of what I found was already discussed there.
And maybe my new stuff should be put there also... or should I continu putting stuff in his research notes instead ? (I'm new at collaboration )
P.S. I just found Jean Baptiste's second marriage, two new daughters and his death record !!
I really do appreciate all the collaboration and further research. The research notes section is a perfect place to collaborate
