Can someone possibly make a merge, been pending, other manager non-responsive [closed]

Hello, anyone out there in the Project branches that can preform a merge?  There is a merge pending for a few years now, the other manager has not ever responded back, I now and them go back down the entire list and sometimes send another message out.  But if anyone can override it and complete the merge that would be great.  Need Cabe-196 merged into Cabe-86.  Thanks so much!

Hi, Virgil -- I went ahead and put the merge through for you, and the Unresponsive Profile Manager request you submitted will help so that other profiles on that watchlist can be reviewed and opened if they meet the date criteria.

Thanks!

Virgil, the manager of the other profile has not been active in 2 years.  I recommend that you follow the Unresponsive Profile Manager process and ask to be made manager of the other profile so that you can complete the merge.

thank you Gaile, I have gone through that list many times over the years, and never went with the unresponsive process.  but will do, here goes .... TY
OK I did try Gaile to do the Unresponsive Profile Manager, but I really think the page is bugged.  I filled it all out, hit the SUBMIT button and it came back telling me I had to CONFIRM.  There is no confirm button, I typed confirm into both narrative boxes, I re-clicked on all the check boxes, moved which box, tried finding that confirm anyplace but could not.  It does say to not submit more than one time, and I did submit an unknown number of times trying to get the confirm to work.... again it does not say that it goes through, only says to CONFIRM but does not allow you to CONFIRM.  I am at a loss!  No problems, No worries.  Someone in a few years will want to merge them, maybe will work by then.

Hi Virgil,

I think you have multiple issues in your attempts to get these two profiles Cabe-196 and Cabe-86.

First issue is the fact that BOTH of the profiles have Privacy Settings which are preventing your proposed merge. You can eliminate half of this issue by changing the GREEN (Public) privacy settings on Cabe-196 that you Manage to GREY (Open). I suggest you do this ASAP unless you have a need for the GREEN level privacy on the profile. You can always change it back after the merge completes.

Cabe-86 has a YELLOW (Private with Public Biography and Family Tree) Privacy Setting which overrides the automatic default merge approval after 30 days from the merge proposal in the case of an Unresponsive Profile Manager (UPM). No merge will be possible until the Cabe-86 UPM or a WikiTree admin resets privacy from YELLOW to GREY (Open).

Gaile notes that the UPM has not been active in last two years so it is unlikely they are ever going to respond.

You are not alone, there are many merge proposals hung up in the WT system for the same reasons.

As an Arborist I am willing to work with you to get the merge you have proposed completed. Please send me a Private Message if you would like help and we can discuss next steps to resolve the privacy issue.

I have posted on the UPM's page and the Cabe-86 profile to try and elicit a response and make a timestamp in anticipation of a future UPM request to WT Admin to intervene

Thank you RL, I did make the Cabe-196 totally open in privacy status.

I thank you, and Gaile for the assist.
