I am struggling to find anything about Private James Pollock who served with the 79th Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders and was killed at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir in 1882. The unit history states:

Just as dawn was breaking two shots were fired from the left front, and Private James Pollock of the regiment fell dead. It was now evident that the regiment was close upon the enemy.

His regimental number was 2156
