Advice before editing this pre-1700 Knowles profile?

• I have information to contribute to the profile of Mary Knowles. This is what I can add:

  Mary Knowles was born 22 Mar 1687/8 in Woodbury, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony.

  Her parents were Eleazer Knowles-3323 and Mary (Porter-7203) Knowles
• Mary married Samuel Sherman-4327 on 7 Mar 1711 in Woodbury, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony

These are the sources I am using:

• Connecticut Town Birth Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection)
   Connecticut Town Marriage Records, pre-1870 (Barbour Collection)

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Donald Line Jacobus (History and Genealogy of the Families of Old Fairfield) is one of the most accurate genealogists ever. He says: Mary Knowles b. Woodbury  1688 m. Samuel Sherman b. 1682 also in Woodbury.  Rhoda is their daughter.

Mary Knowles b 1688 did not marry Samuel Sherman b. 1678.

I have a few minutes and am going to put the profiles right.

I just looked up Samuel's (1682-1757)  will. He mentions daughter Rhoda Walker and his brother Ichabod, among others. The other Samuel b. 1678 did not have a brother Ichabod.  This adds proof to the Families of Old Fairfield statement.

Going around in circles is very easy to do in genealogy, Especially with Samuels, Johns and Williams.
